PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN NORTH EAST INDIA

Since 2010, Gaurangi Maitra has been associated with a pioneering academia-healthcare initiative for North East India, working with the DBT Nodal Centre for Medical Colleges and Biomedical Research Institutes of North Eastern Region, in Tezpur University (under Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi). She has travelled widely across the North Eastern Region of India, using her empathy, perseverance, networking and strong communication skills she has been able to reach out to doctors, researchers, educators and young research personnel.


She channels her interest in History of Science of the North Eastern Region of India, through the Indian National Science Academy project, reconstructing unwritten narratives of the region.
